Velotric T1 ST Plus Ebike

The Velotric T1 ST Plus is the perfect fitness bike for me. I'm able to once again pursue my usual 65km very hilly ride. It allows me to push myself as hard as I want. I ride in Eco mode and vary mostly between level 0 (no assist) and level 1. On steep hills I progress to level 2, 3, or rarely 4 so I still need to push, but it always makes it up the steep hills. It's also amazing how nice the bike is to ride when not under power. It rides smooth with very little rolling resistance like a quality built bike. After a little experimenting, and the way I ride, I can leave the extended battery at home. Without it, I'm still showing half the bike's built in battery still available after the 65km ride. The first time I attempted this ride with the T1, my legs were linguini at the 45km mark. I just couldn't go any further. Switched into boost mode and with very little pedal effort, the bike just scooted along and got me home, in agony none the less (pushed myself too much for the 1st ride being way out of shape).

Anyway, I love the bike. I would highly recommend it. Hopefully it lasts for a long time. If I had to mention a downside, the seat may take me a while to get used to. On top of everything, the bike is a piece of art. Just beautiful.

I'm getting old and have developed back problems, and commuting had gotten very difficult UNTIL I saw this machine. I've been using it for 1 month now, and I feel so free and young again. I bought the T1 ST after doing a lot of research. I wanted an e-bike that looked like a regular bike and didn’t have a big external battery. The T1 for the bill. After riding it for 2 weeks I can say there are definite pluses and minuses. Pluses: the pedal assist is very smooth. I rarely feel it lagging behind as I pedal. On flat terrain I average around 19 - 22 mph. The assembly was mostly easy. I had some issue with the headlight not working but they are sending me a new one. The support was very responsive. Velotric provides all the tools you’ll need to assemble it and videos that show you how to do it. Some of the videos could have better angles as sometimes they are working on something on the far side of the bike you have to figure it out. The color I got is gorgeous. The seat is comfortable. The handling is reliable. I have put close to 200 miles on the bike and it seems to be holding up well.

Minuses: The advertised max range is 70 miles of pedal assist. I would say that would only be possible with the settings on ECO and pedal assist strength 1. One day I had to really somewhere asap so I put the bike into Boost and Pedal assist 5. At the end of the 10 mile ride the battery was almost fully drained. So, just be aware that max boost has to used sparingly. I only use it to cross the Brooklyn Bridge, now. The same distance on Boost with pedal assist 1 only uses 1/8th of the full battery.
