Velotric Fold 1 Plus Ebike

I’ve had both of my Fold 1 Plus bikes for a while now. I bought one for me and one for my girlfriend because I wanted us to be able to ride together, and they’ve been awesome.

One of my favorite rides is taking the bike trail into downtown, walking around the farmers market, grabbing something to eat, or just enjoying the day. It’s one of those rides I never get tired of because there’s always something to see.

I also recently bought a dog trailer so we can bring our Goldendoodle, Gohan, with us too. Being able to spend time together outside while getting fresh air has become one of my favorite parts of owning the bikes.

Another thing I love is how practical they’ve become. I use mine to run errands, grab groceries, or just clear my head after a long week at work. I still get plenty of exercise, but it never really feels like a workout because I’m having so much fun riding.

The bikes have been reliable, comfortable, and a blast to own. They’ve become a big part of how we spend time together, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone thinking about getting an e-bike.

We looked at so many possibilities online but kept coming back to this one. We finally decided to drive to a dealer in the area to look at one in person and try it out. The shop had the Violet Haze in stock but it was the only one they had so we bought that one and ordered the Mango for my husband. The online order came pretty quickly and was extremely well packaged. If you are not handy or familiar with bikes, it could be a slight challenge putting the front wheel on. We had to play around with the tire a bit to get it rotating smoothly. Otherwise, it was easy to assemble. We are 56 and 59 and wanted something that would be comfortable and easy to manage. We also needed 2 bikes that would fit inside our RAV4 because at this time we are not planning to add a hitch to our vehicle. Later we hope to use them with a Class B or C RV. This bike is not difficult to fold and lift into the RAV4, especially when we do it together. My husband can also lift it in himself, even with the battery left in. The controls are easy to use. and we like the safety of having a headlight, brake light (which has three modes, we like #3) and turn signals (many don't have those.) We also like the app so we had to find a phone holder. The handlebars are pretty full of gadgets now and we also added a bike alarm to the handle. We mainly leave the torque sensor mode on and have not even tried the cadence sensor. I like to ride in PAS 1 or 2 most of the time, while my husband takes it easy…

If you’re hesitant about getting this bike, just go for it! You won’t regret it. Besides the color being stunning, this bike has so much more to offer. It has an app where you can personalize your riding style. You can even name your bike and get real time hardware updates.

I’m really pleased with the torque sensor. It makes me feel as if I were riding a regular bike. I like that I can control the power with the effort I give the pedals. Haven’t tried the cadence sensor yet but I’m happy to have both options. It was a learning curve for me but now that I’ve been riding, it has been amazing. (For reference I am 5’10, 200lbs+ and I’ve added a suspension seat post.)I got her in April and have been using her for fun and to commute to work. I haven’t ridden a bike in about 10 years so I was a little scared to get an e-bike.

After watching dozens of YouTube videos this seemed to be the safest, most practical and affordable option for me. Over time I have been getting more comfortable with her. It took a few rides to get use to all the features and learn how they work.

After these two months I’m very happy with my purchase. I am getting outside more and have noticed some physical changes. Even improved my mental health!💜💜💜
