Very nice affordable bike.
Nice little lightweight bike with more than enough power for the rolling hills around me. I replaced the original seat with a Cloud-9. Thinking now the original seat is almost as good as the C9. Maybe don't be so quick to spend money on a new seat. I have had some trouble with noise from the chain when in 3rd and 4th gear. Played with the cable adjustment yesterday and thinking it is fixed. Instructions for cable adjust are all over YouTube.
I contacted Velotric support because of a mixup FedEx made. Support was quick with an email - multiple emails - to assure me all was correct.
So far I am pleased with my little Red Discover 2. If things change I will let everybody know.

Smooth, powerful ride w/ great features
It was fun to put together! I wanted a step through, cruiser-style commuter, with ergonomic swept back handlebars, adjustable stem, at least a 500w motor, and a torque sensor. Decided on this over a Pace 500.3 because of the 750w, suspension fork, waterproofing, brake + turn signals on the rear rack, more customization options in the menu (throttle limited on/off, granular speed limit), cruise control, and the color options. Pine green looks sweet, the bike handles great, and rides really comfortably. I like the quality of the components, and the torque sensor feels really natural.
At first the 15 (albeit overlapping) pedal assist levels seemed too confusing, but once I got used to the power modes, I kind of like this system. The 5 pedal assist levels in each power mode are pretty self explanatory, and I like that they're just numbers. The gradations between each one are subtle, which is nice, but you can feel a bigger jump in power by shifting power modes (i.e., jumping from Eco level 5 up to Trail level 5 and then Boost level 5 is a much more dramatic change than going from pedal assist level 1 to 3, within any one power level). So you get to choose between small jumps and big jumps in your pedal assistance. Overall, you can completely tailor how much effort you want to put in to pedaling, from very low to very high - Eco level 1 is barely distinguishable from level zero (pedal assist off), and Boost level 5 can be super fast with minimal exertion (although if you do want…

Awesome commuter e-bike
I have to say this bike is really nice. I have 2 other electric bikes that I built myself one being a bafang mid-drive that has over 7000mi. For this price point you can’t go wrong,it rides great very comfortable and has a good amount of torq for helping to climb those hills. I really love the feel of the torq sensor makes the bike more natural feeling. My previous ones were cadence sensors. Bike was delivered in excellent condition and is very well put together. Couldn’t be more pleased. Hope these guys continue to put out great products,because this probley won’t be my last👍👍

Great Bike's - Fantastic Customer Service
We recently received our Discover 2 e-bikes. The bikes are beautiful and perform exactly as advertised. The torque sensor is a game changer. The bikes are big, so if you are a smaller rider, you want to be prepared for that. But they are comfortable and fun to ride. I look forward to riding a lot this summer. There was an issue with our order. One bike was received in the wrong size. These things happen, especially when launching a new product and shipping many units simultaneously. Velotrics customer service was polite and friendly and worked with us to resolve the issue. All in all, it was a great experience despite a rocky start. 10/10 will do business with Velotric again.
