Nomad 2, awesome motor, overall feel and fun. Drivetrain, not so much. Shimano accel derailure caused spoke, rim, frame, chain, hanger all needing to be replaced. Replaced with a BOX shifter and derailure. Never looking back. Responded both New rims. Cooler/wider ones I found online. Also had issue with the throttle thumb switch. Don't push too hard either way/crash or ever bump it... It will need to be replaced unless you are brave enough to take it apart and fix it, which I did, will link vids elsewhere. I Love my Velotric. I know this seems like a slam. I was back woods trail riding when simple chain slan became a catastrophic failure. I see they put upgraded Shimano Cue derailures on the summit 2, they have a chain dampening clutch built in like the BOX shifter I installed. Not all that glitters is gold, but try and sell me another e-bike...😁

I did my research for several months (5) to make sure that I was getting my monies worth. I watched a lot of videos too on what was being manufactured out there. Velotric caught my eye because there are two authorized dealers near me. That’s important to me because if I have any problems I know I can get help with service and parts. I settled on the Nomad 2 because it filled the bill on my needs. Fat tire, robust construction, accessories, form and function. The Nomad 2 is all of those to me. It rides great. It’s well built. I really like the MIK rack. Riding this e-bike has really made me want to be more active in my later years. Riding in the wind or uphill no longer sucks you into giving up to ride. The pedal assist in each mode can be dialed in to how much you want to put the effort into riding. Now I’m not killing myself, my knees are thanking me but at the same time I’m getting that exercise I need. Plus, the sale they had gave me a free extended long range battery. What a bonus! I contemplated the 2X but I just felt that the Nomad 2 was the perfect e-bike for my needs. I highly recommend this e-bike to anyone wanting to get out and ride more.

Nomad 2 comes pre-installed with fenders, rear rack, and a suspension seatpost, saving you the hassle of buying and installing these separately. Additional accessories are available on the Velotric website based on a variety of scenarios. Feel free to take a look!
You'll want to use Torque Mode as much as possible, and make sure your tire pressure is set to the recommended 30 PSI. If you're a lighter rider, you can increase pressure by up to 20% of this!
You can switch modes via the Velotric app, or when the bike is stationary. Take a look at the display to verify which mode you're in. Then, long-press the M Button, and you'll see the mode switch. It's that easy!
Torque sensors are better for variable-speed riding or rugged terrain, meaning riding will feel more intuitive (as the power output is more efficient and immediate). Cadence sensors feel more relaxed and are ideal for long, consistent rides, such as city roads. Explore each to find what fits your riding style best.
Yes! Nomad 2 meets IPX6 waterproof standards, so you'll be able to ride confidently even in heavy rain and clean it using a pressure washer. All Velotric Ebikes are built to this standard.
Yes. The default is Class 2 (throttle enabled, 20MPH max speed):
- Class 1: Disables throttle.
- Class 3: Disables throttle, increases top speed to 28MPH.
