We bought two of these amazing bikes the end of April. Ordered them through an excellent local bike shop. We have had such a wonderful Summer of fresh air, great exercise and a lot of fun! We are an older couple and find the bikes so thoughtful in design, completely comfortable which allows for covering a lot more miles easily.
So far they have worked flawlessly. Thank you Velotric for such a well thought out and solid bike!
The Good (Pros):
First-Class Comfort:
The combination of the 80mm air suspension fork and suspension seatpost is incredible. It completely smooths out bumps on city streets and paved paths, which keeps the ride perfectly stable and comfortable for my dog.
Flawless Fit & Look:
I chose the Cherry Crimson in the regular frame. At 5’ 7”, the bike fits me like a glove. The deep crimson color looks absolutely stunning in person and gets a lot of compliments.
Incredible Cargo & Pet Hauler:
I built this out with a rear top rack bag, a front rack, and a pet carrier to haul my 14lb Yorkie. The bike handles the extra gear and weight effortlessly without feeling unbalanced or sluggish.
SensorSwap Adaptability:
Being able to switch between a torque sensor for a natural, active bike path workout and a cadence sensor for an effortless cruise down city streets is a game-changing feature.
Quiet Power & Smart Tech:
The 750W motor handles city inclines effortlessly and runs remarkably quiet, which is great for not scaring my dog. Built-in tracking and integrated turn signals provide massive peace of mind in traffic.
The Bad (Cons):
Heavy Build:
Like most e-bikes and already weighing around 61 lbs, adding front and rear racks makes it a very heavy machine. It is not an e-bike you want to carry up flights of stairs.
Tall Saddle Minimum:

I didn't give it 5 stars because the directions for assembling it were not very good. I used the instructions in the box, which were very limited. Did not show how the handle bars were to be placed and how adjustments to the brakes and other buttons could be made or needed to be made. It is also a very heavy bike, I'm not used to large ebikes, I have a road/gravel e-bike that is super light and only class 1. But, for errands and riding around town when I don't want to clip in my road bike for long rides, this is great.

Discover M is not designed to be more powerful, but to be more natural, efficient, and closer to the feel of a traditional bicycle.It delivers superior performance in low-assist levels, long-distance riding, and continuous rolling climbs, creating clear differentiation from Discover 3.
Due to the suspension structure, some shorter riders may find the saddle height too high.You may contact Velotric Customer Support — we can provide a standard (non-suspension) seatpost free of charge.
You will need a suspension-specific air pump.
A recommended pressure chart is printed on the fork sticker.
If the sticker is missing, please refer to the user manual, where we list the recommended front fork air pressure values for different rider weight ranges.

Custom Mode is an optional advanced speed setting available on Discover 3 and Discover M.
When enabled through the Velotric App, it allows riders—where permitted by local regulations— to unlock the throttle in Class 3 and reach speeds up to 28 mph. Riders can still switch between Class 1 / 2 / 3 / Custom Mode anytime on the display.Please note that due to state regulations, this option is unavailable in California, but it is supported in all other regions.
