Velotric Breeze 1 Cruiser Ebike

I recently purchased an Ocean Mist Breeze 1 ebike. The Ocean Mist is a nice blue, pearlized paint. I am 64 and have been biking my entire adult life. The Breeze is my 2nd ebike, the first being an ebike conversion kit on my Raleigh Sport Comfort bike. After 8600+ miles on my conversion kit, it was time for an upgrade. After extensive research and a test ride at a local bike shop, I purchased the Breeze. What piqued my interest in the Breeze was the bike weight. The 48 lbs of the Breeze was similar in weight to my old ebike. I wanted something light enough to pedal on my own. After 200+ miles, I have not been disappointed in my choice. Most days we ride a 17 mile, fairly hilly loop, from our home. This 17 mile ride uses about 35-40% of my battery utilizing the Cadence sensor on Eco.

Both the torque and cadence sensors work well and it is easy to switch between the 2 as you ride. The throttle comes in handy for some extra power when needed. The disc brakes, LED lights, and display all work great. Although the Breeze does not have any kind of suspension, I did not notice much difference with my Raleigh that had a front suspension and a suspension seat post.

I had to reach out to customer service early on in my ownership and I will say that their customer service is 5 star. Communication was great and they were very helpful in resolving my issue.

I am extremely happy with my purchase of the Velotri Breeze 1. I wanted to get a lighter much lighter bike than my previous bike but had concerns about strength, durability and power of a lighter ebike. The Breeze 1 met all of my needs. I was also concerned about not having a suspension fork with the roads/trails I ride. It doesn't really effect my riding with the standard fork. I got the Velotric suspension seat post for it which may cover for the fork some.

300 Mile/1.5 month Review:

I'm a 25 yr old that's been commuting to downtown Boston three days per week on the Breeze, that's a 12 mile round trip. I use full pedal assist with mixed in throttle to keep up with traffic, typically accomplishing six miles in ~25 minutes, this includes stops at 10+ busy intersections. I ride this bike hard and here has been my experience with different aspects of the bike/ride:

Speed: 10/10 I would be scared to go any faster, especially on Boston's horrific roads

Braking: 10/10 I weigh 170lbs with additional weight of work bag and can stop on a dime, very smooth hydraulics

Range: 9/10 I ride 12 miles (stop & go) with heavy throttle and full pedal assist and still have 50-65% battery left when I'm done. If I rode leisurely I'm sure I'd get 60+ miles as advertised

Comfort: 8/10 I am 6'2" and the adjustable handlebar stem makes riding position customizable and the seat is great. Would be a 10/10 if it had suspension but I was not personally be willing to deal with the added weight

Weight: 8/10 This thing is light enough for me to keep in my apartment basement after every use (one flight of stairs) and I can lift it to hang on a rack at work. There are lighter bikes out there if you're willing to sacrifice a bit of performance and comfort, but this is still exceptionally lightweight

Tech: 10/10 The screen is so nice and functional, tons of data including motor temp, which is really nice to see when riding hard on a hot day. Headlights, tail…
