Velotric Breeze 1 Cruiser Ebike

300 Mile/1.5 month Review:

I'm a 25 yr old that's been commuting to downtown Boston three days per week on the Breeze, that's a 12 mile round trip. I use full pedal assist with mixed in throttle to keep up with traffic, typically accomplishing six miles in ~25 minutes, this includes stops at 10+ busy intersections. I ride this bike hard and here has been my experience with different aspects of the bike/ride:

Speed: 10/10 I would be scared to go any faster, especially on Boston's horrific roads

Braking: 10/10 I weigh 170lbs with additional weight of work bag and can stop on a dime, very smooth hydraulics

Range: 9/10 I ride 12 miles (stop & go) with heavy throttle and full pedal assist and still have 50-65% battery left when I'm done. If I rode leisurely I'm sure I'd get 60+ miles as advertised

Comfort: 8/10 I am 6'2" and the adjustable handlebar stem makes riding position customizable and the seat is great. Would be a 10/10 if it had suspension but I was not personally be willing to deal with the added weight

Weight: 8/10 This thing is light enough for me to keep in my apartment basement after every use (one flight of stairs) and I can lift it to hang on a rack at work. There are lighter bikes out there if you're willing to sacrifice a bit of performance and comfort, but this is still exceptionally lightweight

Tech: 10/10 The screen is so nice and functional, tons of data including motor temp, which is really nice to see when riding hard on a hot day. Headlights, tail…

We recently purchased two Breeze 1 ebikes, one for me and one for my wife. We are age 50+ riders looking for a comfortable bike for cruising town and long paved trails. After an intensive search of webpages, bike shop visits and countless YouTube reviews we chose the Breeze 1. After 100+ miles, we have NOT been disappointed in our choice!

Pros

- range is fantastic at 70+ miles in pedal assist

- perfect for all rider skills and speed desired

- comfortable secure feeling of control of the bike

- quick and fast if you want it!!

- came with fenders and rear rack for free!

Cons

- 15 different speed choices is a little overkill

- small font on the display for those with vision challenges

- cannot electronically “lock” the bike on the display and no ability to add a PIN to unlock

- fender install without rubbing is difficult as the video doesn’t mention the allen screw to adjust the in and out of the fender. Once you know that, it’s much easier to install

Would I definitely recommend this bike to any riders looking for a comfortable cruiser that’s customizable to any speed or level of acceleration!! We are so happy with our choice in the Breeze 1! Add some electronic locking abilities and this bike will be perfect!

I recently invested in the Velotric Breeze 1 and It’s exceeding my expectations every time I ride.

This bike is just a good time. It’s fun and easy to handle, not only when riding but also maneuvering around the house to store it.

I was concerned about the breeze not having front suspension on but honestly, I don’t go mountain trail biking, so I just added a suspension seat post and I don’t feel any road bumps. The bike responds perfectly to the torque sensor and it’s my favorite mode to use. It cruises smoothly and has plenty of power ready for you when you ask for it.I’ve had another brand fat tire beast before too and honestly, I have much more fun riding the Breeze than I ever did with my old, big, heavy fat tire 80+ lb bike. It was for that reason I decided to focus on it feeling like a regular bicycle so the weight of the bike was paramount.

You can really feel the quality of this bike,it operates smoothly and being lightweight doesn’t make it flimsy, it’s quite solid and agile.

I find it has plenty of power for my needs and the torque sensor is very natural feeling and responsive.

The color display is easy to see and packed with information. Navigation through the menu is simple and straightforward.

I look forward to riding this bike every day and I also have added confidence knowing that if a surprise storm hits, I’m not going to destroy my bike if it gets wet.

I feel like I made the perfect choice with this bike and they even top it off with a 2 year warranty.
