Velotric Suspension Seatpost 2.0

After a week on my discover 2, I realized that I really wanted a seat shock absorber. I almost bought a standard piston style, but this one’s design made me stop and analyze. A simple piston means that it’s like riding a pogo stick , every bumps bounces you up and can make you lose control. With the dual cams, the bike’s movement up causes you to stay vertically stable, and instead causes you to go down a little and back a little bit. While they could have included instructions, since there is only one adjustment in the center of the tube, it was easy to figure out that “-“ direction means less stiffness, and “+” means more stiffness. I have put almost 500 miles on my bike so far.

Once I got the tension right and adjusted on the seat, it was amazing. The seat Plus The Nomad 2x dual suspension almost completely gets rid of any jarring on my back. Not only am I a thick sister, nice and heavy, but I also have back issues and my previous bike was really rough on my spine every time I hit the smallest bump on the road or sidewalk. Even if you are a smaller person and don't have back issues, this will spare you from future issues and I highly recommend it.

Velotric Suspension Seatpost 2.0 arrived today. Installed it on my Thunder 1, did some adjustments, and went for a ride. I'm a big guy and I found that the stiffness was good for me. I even dialed it down a little.

WOW! Makes those bumps on regular streets and not-so-smooth paved trails much more manageable. Between the padded saddle and the suspension seat post, it is very comfortable.
