Velotric Summit 1 Ebike

I purchased my bike towards the beginning of 2025. I truly like it. It is comfortable. You do leave a bit forward, like a mountain bike. Had to take it to my local shop for them to add adjustable stem so I can lift it up a bit. Wish it came with either a dropper post or suspension post. Build is great. Battery, not as much as I hoped. I am 270, 6ft tall. I can get 22 miles on trail mode pas 1-3. Definitely wish battery was bigger, or that they possibly would’ve made a battery extender rather than having the only option of buying another battery for $500. Love the color, rides smooth. Had to change the seat, more comfortable now. I tried a few others, but this one came out on top. Wanted something that is more of a hybrid for different terrains. No regrets.

Since purchasing my Velotric Summit 1, I’ve really enjoyed how easy and comfortable it makes riding—whether I’m cruising along the road or tackling intermediate trails in the woods. The bike’s battery life has held up great, and overall the build quality has been impressive.

I did make a couple of small upgrades—swapped out the factory pedals and replaced the bell. The stock pedals felt a bit fragile, and one actually broke on my second off-road ride, but with sturdier replacements, the bike has been flawless ever since.

The only issues as I have had are that the screen needed to be replaced as when the headlight would come on I would receive an error code and the motor would shutoff. This was not fun while in mid-stride. This was resolved by contacting Leitrim and they sent me in new screens under warranty. The only other issue is more of a design flaw, the rear right frame bar running along the bottom and to the rear right spoke sticks out a little much and when peddling sometimes my heal will hit. Depends on the shoes, but I’ve had to make some riding adjustments to compensate.

Overall, the Summit 1 has been a fantastic e-bike that balances performance, durability, and fun. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable ride for both pavement and trail adventures!

I purchased the Velotric Summit 1 for my 55th birthday. I am so glad I did. I bought it because of its looks and the fact that it has a larger hub motor than similar style bikes offered by other brands. I liked the fact that it has both Cadence and Torque sensors. I also wanted a throttle. The Summit has it all. I’ve only ridden it about 4 times since I bought it, but I tell you the Summit is a blast to ride. I live in a fairly hilly city, and it handles the hills well. I find I ride in Boost mode more than I should, but I can keep an eye on the battery level from the monitor and know just how much battery I have left. My only complaint is the shifting has become a little less crisp. I hear clicking from the chain and cassette when it should be in gear. I’m sure it is just the parts getting stretched from first use and I will look at adjusting before my next ride. All in all for the cost, I think the Summit is a fair deal. I like that I can easily upgrade components if and when I want to. Velotric did a great job on the Summit.
