This basket gives you some room. Some might say it's bulky--not me. I say it gives me the space I need to haul stuff. I'm not moving people around on my Packer so this is perfect. I've got stuff to move. I picked up a bungee cargo net to go over the top and I'm in business. I love it.
Hey Oliver! Thank you for sharing your positive experience! We're delighted to hear that our basket provides you with the extra space you need, and the addition of a cargo net sounds like a great idea. Happy hauling! 🚲👍
So much space, love the cloth liner with the zipped pouch. Have yet to create a grocery haul it couldn't handle.
Must have.
With it, it’s a pick up bike, not just a cargo bike.
Cargo bikes are those weird Euro things with coffin holds in the middle with janky steering rods to a tiny front wheel in the next time zone.
The Packer should be called: Velotruck.
I have but don’t use a cargo box from another bike, same as I don’t use the shell on my pickup truck. I just use US ARMY surplus cargo nets. Super grocery store, pizza and hardware machine.
26” front and 20” rear tires the way to go. 20 in back makes descents feel safe even with full load.
Cadence sensor is paleo, but actually works well on my steep hills.
Climbs every hill I throw at it and I’m 250 lbs. and live in coastal range inland valley
I love my bike.
I bought a Rosinante vanity plate. Not original. It captures me, not the bike.
The bike oozes good design, but for the forks. Fix the forks and it’s the best pickup bike on the planet.
Beast of burden.
The forks are too flexy, locked or unlocked, but that will likely change with a stiffer, backward compatible I hope fork.
Step through critical for pick up bikes. Forget step over.
